Legendary singer Andy Williams has died. He died from Bladder Cancer. Spanning over 75 years of entertainment career. He’s a legend entertainer since Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, etc. I started listening to Williams when i was at the tender age of 17. In year 2003. By then mp3′s was introduce to us instead of radios and cassettes. I started searching for the best songs out there. And one of them was from Andy. Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You. From there on, i start liking his songs. I downloaded many of his other songs including the rarer ones, that are difficult to find over the Internet. I felt that with all his songs. He has given me the meaning of life to it. Learning deeper into life’s. He’s my life inspiration. One of his best songs were Moon River, Where Do i Begin? (Love Story), Speak Softly Love (Godfather Theme), Solitaire, A Song for You, Imagine, My Way and the list goes on.
When i started the former Singapore Sea Brother’s website. I included his song’s into it. It began with Home Lovin’ Man. That song struck me deep because it’s related to sailor’s whom just accomplish their duty as a sea man. Therefore that song is the head-start to my first ever fishing website. Which garnered a traffic hit of high volumes in visitors and ratings.
I never knew, a man this great who should lives longer than he is today, has died. His death seems impossible to me. That makes me thought even deeper, no one stays and lives. All will die one day. He’s the person that should lives and never dies. Although that he has died, his music lives. The whole world mourns of his great passings and it is a great loss to the music industry.
Now that the man has gone. I’ve been listening to his songs for the last 9 years now. I’m still listening to this legend. I never make it to Branson, Missouri to meet you in real life. I wish i’ve had seen you performing live this Christmas or in the coming year’s. You are my idol. Andy Williams, if you are up there and watching this now. The heaven’s are with you. You are singing with the angel’s now. May you rest in peace. Amen.
I miss you Andy.
Haji Salleh return to my Kampong with a high level of spirits wanting to thrash his 30 year old Silstar rod which he has kept and preserve for three decades. By chance a Monster would pull his legendary rod tonight.
Travis wanting to target fresh Sea Bass as he is eager with preparedness to hunt down the Silver King with fresh live Prawns.
As the night falls. Everyone is eager with alertness and kept focusing on their rods waiting for any passer-by deep down under. From left Travis, myself and Haji Salleh.
As it was nearly full tide. The chosen tide that was set for a date to fish here. Travis’s Shimano telescopic rod with 50lbs braided hit this awesome Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray (Taeniura lymma) on a freshly caught Squid as the lucky Ray runs left and Travis confidently reel it in.
Here’s the beauty that weighs roughly 1.5kg. This Stingray has got 2 venomous spikes on its tail. You got to be careful when handling this species. I manage to cut off the spikes before any picture taking.
Congratulations bro. As nearing to dawn Haji Salleh decides to part with us as he got to attend some occasion else where. Thus, me and Travis continues fishing till dawn breaks.
As the Sun rises from the east. We were greeted by some of the legends of my Kampong. Not long before noon. We call it a day. It was an enjoyable and a satisfying trip, for Travis has got his deserved catch. Join us in our next trip. Singapore Sea Brothers signs out…
I was so starving in the morning and finally i had this tasty Nasi Padang for lunch while waiting for any strikes.
Under the cooling shades and sea breeze, Bro Isa and Haji Salleh observing their Sea Arsenal while waiting for any chances for the fish to strikes hard.
Din too having his lunch after hot day’s of fishing off the famous Carpark 6.
Upon ending his lunch and catching up bait fish. A few meters away from his rod. I heard a screaming reel and saw his rod been pulled by a Monster!!! I was shocked and shout at him and ask him to retrieve his rod. There he fought the Monster and i already had standby my gaff to gaff if there’s any chance a Stingray or Shovel-nosed Shark. But it turned out to be a beautiful Marine Catfish (Plicofollis polystaphylodon). Conratulations on you Din. This one weighs 3.5kg.
A close-up of this beauty. I guess Din will savour it into a delicious mouth-watering Assam Pedas. There goes the gastronomy. Good catch turns into good food.
As strong winds starts pounding from the east to the north. Haji Salleh’s reel had problems creating frequent bird’s nest. He then take a break before starts back in action.
Upon strong winds reducing its speeds. Bro Isa’s rod has a slight bend as he was trying on a fresh Brownback Trevally (Carangoides praeustus) as bait. He landed this beauty Slender Shark-sucker (Remora remora). Overall it was a fun trip. Only i and Haji Salleh hadn’t had a pull on that day. The list goes on. Wait for our next trip.
